The Pan America isn’t your usual Harley-Davidson. It is very different from the motorcycles which the American brand has been manufacturing over the years. And it is very good at what it has been designed to do. Perhaps that’s why an ex-Dakar racer has decided to ride it in a 6000 km rally.
Harley-Davidson has collaborated with the ex-Dakar racer Joan Pedrero who is going to compete in the 6000km Africa Eco Race using a specially-prepared version of the Pan America 1250. The rally will start on Dec 30 in Moncaco and will conclude on Jan 14 in Dakar.
This is not the first time Pedrero and Harley-Davidson have come together. The 45-year-old Portuguese racer has helped in Pan America’s development since its launch in 2021. He has also taken part in other rallies too like the Baja Aragon Espana.
