Royal Enfield has pulled the wraps off the FT450, an ultra-limited flat tracker built exclusively for its 2025 Slide School programme. Developed in collaboration with Dirt Craft and flat track ace Gary Birtwistle, the FT450 is a purpose-built machine designed to bring the thrill of sideways riding to enthusiasts.
Based on the all-new Guerrilla 450, the FT450 retains the same 450cc liquid-cooled Sherpa engine, but ditches the frills for a stripped-back, track-ready setup. It features bespoke flat track bodywork, custom 19-inch wheels, and revised ergonomics tailored for slide control.
Performance is expected to get a bump, thanks to a full-system exhaust and FuelX tuning module, although official output figures beyond the base 40 bhp and 40 Nm haven’t been revealed yet.
While the FT450 won’t go on sale to the public, fans can still get close. The Guerrilla 450 can be dressed in a GMA flat track accessory kit for a price which includes a bench seat, sump and radiator guards, and bar-end mirrors for a dose of dirt-track style on the road.
Track-only or not, the FT450 shows Royal Enfield is serious about making flat track fun accessible to a wider audience – one sideways session at a time.
