Ducati has sharpened its single-cylinder supermoto line-up with the arrival of the Hypermotard 698 Mono Nera – a darker, meaner take on its already capable street motard, set to hit dealerships from June 2026.

The Nera effectively rounds off the 698 Mono family, bringing a stealthy aesthetic and a few choice upgrades to the lightweight platform.

Draped in deep black bodywork, it contrasts beautifully with Ducati Red wheels and subtle frame highlights. A set of homologated black-finished Termignoni silencers comes as standard, giving the bike a throatier voice and a more aggressive rear-end stance.

Performance remains the headline act. At its heart lies Ducati’s Superquadro Mono engine – a 659cc single derived from the iconic 1299 Panigale motor. With Desmodromic valves and a massive 116 mm piston, it churns out a claimed 77.5 bhp and revs all the way to 10,250 rpm, making it one of the most potent road-going singles out there.

Weighing in at just 151 kg (wet, without fuel), the Nera stays true to the Hypermotard character – light, sharp and super flickable. A trellis frame and pared-back chassis keep things lively, while a full suite of electronics, including cornering ABS, traction control and Ducati’s Slide-by-Brake system, ensures you can back it into corners like a proper supermoto hero.
