The QJMotor SRK 800 RR immediately evokes thoughts of the Honda CBR650R with its sporty design and aggressive stance. However, while the resemblance is noticeable, the SRK 800 RR carves out its own identity in the sportbike world. Known for drawing inspiration from other iconic brands like MV Agusta, QJMotor’s latest offering combines familiar styling with innovative features, positioning it as a strong contender in the global market.
QJMotor, or Qianjiang in China, has a history of creating motorcycles that echo renowned designs, largely thanks to input from former MV Agusta designers Adrian Morton and Paolo Bianchi. Their influence can be seen in previous models like the SRK 921 RR and SRK 1000 RC Ten 78, both inspired by the legendary F4 and Brutale 1000 RR.
While a Superveloce-inspired SRK 921 SV has been spotted in development, the SRK 800 RR stands out as a unique model. Despite the visual nod to Honda’s CBR650R, this bike, now available in Europe, particularly in Italy, brings its own originality to the table.
The SRK 800 RR marks QJMotor’s third four-cylinder motorcycle, following the SRK 600RR, which was launched in 2020. Since acquiring Benelli in 2005, QJMotor has used some of its engine technology, with the SRK 600RR’s engine originally designed by Benelli.
The 800 RR, like its other models, is available in China and features advanced components, such as racing-style winglets, traction control, a trellis steel frame, adjustable Marzocchi upside-down forks, and an aluminium swingarm. It also boasts Brembo brakes with radial four-pot calipers for added performance.
Though it may remind some of the Honda CBR650R, the SRK 800 RR is a completely original build from QJMotor, featuring a new engine. The bore size of 67mm is similar to the CBR650R, but the SRK’s 778cc engine produces 101bhp – 7 bhp more than the Honda’s 649cc engine. This model highlights QJMotor’s continued expansion into the sportbike market.
