Dubai is famous for many things, be it infrastructure, roads, tourism, or supercars/bikes. But one specific thing that we really admire about this Emirate is its love and passion for motorsports. With the summers over, another motorsports season has begun and we’ve got the Dubai MX Championship 2019/20 right around the corner!
What is Dubai MX Championship?
It is an official EMSO/FIM off-road championship, hosted and operated by Dubai Motocross Club (DMX Club) which is a non-profit club. It has its own community of strong and passionate volunteers.
Schedule-
The official dates for the 2019/20 championship have been announced. Round 1 will take place this Friday, October 15th, from 7 AM to 4 PM.
Location/Venue-
Dubai Motocross Club has a proper motocross track designed at its location. Riders use it to hone their skills as it is quite a technical track with hard bumps, high jumps, sharp turns, etc. Round 1 of the 2019/20 Dubai MX Championship will be conducted on this track only.
Mandatory requirements-
Valid 2019/20 FIM Racing License
Valid Passport, Visa, and Health Insurance documents for Non-Members
Licencing-
Single-Day FIM race licences are available from DMX, during Race-Day registration, for AED 300. For Race Licence applications/renewals, email Matthew Norman (matthew@atcuae.ae).
Race Registration-
7:00am to 8:00am
Fees-
Club Members – AED 150 (per rider, per class).
Non-Members – AED 100 + AED 150 (per rider, per class).
Transponders-
Limited Availability. AED 500 Security Deposit + Valid ID copy required for single Race-Day hire
