KTM has taken things up a notch with the new 890 Adventure R Rally – a machine built for riders who want serious off-road performance straight from the showroom.
Sitting at the top of KTM’s mid-capacity ADV lineup, the Rally edition is heavily inspired by the brand’s Dakar racing pedigree. This isn’t just an upgraded 890 Adventure R – it’s a more focused, rally-bred weapon designed for hardcore terrain.
The biggest highlight is the suspension setup. You get top-spec WP Xplor Pro components, including Cone Valve forks up front and a fully adjustable rear shock. Suspension travel jumps to 270mm at both ends, giving it proper long-travel capability for aggressive off-road riding.

Power comes from the familiar 889cc parallel-twin engine, producing 104 bhp and 100 Nm of peak torque – more than enough to kick up dirt and cruise highways when needed. KTM backs this up with a full suite of electronics, including Rally Mode, traction control, motor slip regulation, and off-road ABS, all adjustable via a crisp 5-inch TFT display with navigation support.
Visually, the Rally screams factory racer with its Red Bull KTM livery, while a standard Akrapovic slip-on exhaust adds both performance and that addictive soundtrack.
Limited in numbers globally and backed by up to four years of warranty, the 890 Adventure R Rally is as close as it gets to owning a Dakar machine – without needing a race team behind you!
