As part of its 125th anniversary celebrations, Indian Motorcycle has unveiled the 2026 Indian Chief Vintage, which is inspired by the legendary 1940s Chief.
From its flowing valanced fenders and iconic lit headdress ornament to wire-spoke wheels and vintage handlebars, the design screams heritage. It looks like it rolled straight out of post-war Springfield – but with modern craftsmanship and premium detailing. Even the Thunderstroke engine carries retro soul, with classic blacked-out cylinders and silver-painted accents that pay tribute to original Chief models.
But don’t let the vintage vibes fool you – this is a serious rider’s bike. Power comes from the Thunderstroke 116 V-Twin, delivering a massive 156 Nm of torque for effortless highway pulls and lazy, grin-inducing overtakes. Three ride modes – Tour, Standard and Sport – let riders switch from chilled cruising to full-blown torque-heavy attitude in seconds.
Tech gets a modern upgrade too, with the 4-inch Round Touchscreen Display powered by RIDE COMMAND, offering navigation, connectivity, ride data, and smartphone integration – without killing the classic aesthetic.
Add in optional accessories like quick-release windshields, vinyl saddlebags, highway bars, touring backrests and floorboards, and the Chief Vintage becomes a proper long-haul American cruiser.
