Harley Davidson® Dubai’s Battle of the Kings 2017 contender was unveiled Saturday at their showroom on Sheikh Zayed Road.

Based on a Harley Davidson® 1200 Roadster™, a set budget of €6000 and a 10000 parts to choose from; Harley Davidson® Dubai built SHAMAL; a desert dragster inspired by the unstoppable sandstorm creating north-westerly winds that blow over the Arabian Gulf bearing the same name.

155_1The builders extended the rear swing arm by six inches, replaced the belt drive with a chain and sprocket, fitted the bike with mono suspension instead of the stock dual suspension combined with the power of the 1200cc engine makes this desert dragster as unstoppable as the Shamal Winds that gave it its name.

130_1The bike was accessorized with parts from the Harley Davidson® Rail Collection and dressed up with copper accents instead of the usual chrome. To top it off; SHAMAL was given a signature custom Sand Dune Shadow paint job inspired by the Dubai desert.

Stay tuned for a full review of the SHAMAL on Bike Nation Magazine. And for now enjoy some of the photos captured during the reveal event, taken by our great photographer Elena Georgieva.
