Suzuki has implemented a Stop Sale Order for specific models of the 2024 Suzuki Hayabusa and its 25th-anniversary edition in the United States. This action is prompted by the discovery of a potential brake fluid leak in units manufactured between July 7, 2023, and November 28, 2023.
The root cause of the brake fluid leakage in these models is attributed to improperly tightened brake fluid flare nut fittings on the ABS module. According to reports, a production line worker deviated from the standard multi-step tightening process for these nuts. Instead of adhering to the correct procedure involving multiple wrench movements, the employee independently modified the process to a single wrench movement.
In response to this issue, Suzuki has not only issued a Stop Sale order for the Hayabusa but is also initiating a recall for specific 2024 Hayabusa and Hayabusa 25th Anniversary Editions to address the safety concern.
Authorized Suzuki dealers will conduct a thorough inspection, tighten the brake pipe flare nuts, and adjust the brake fluid level on affected motorcycles as needed. Importantly, this service will be carried out at no cost to the customers.
