Formed in 2007, Vendetta Racing UAE is one of the best racing teams in the Middle East. It has come a long way from competing in local motorsports championships to participating in international events like the Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge. Talking about the 2019 ADDC, Vendetta Racing UAE is all set with its KTM rally bikes and riders. One of its 5 riders this year is Aaron Mare. You’d surprised to know how much he has achieved.
Born in 1994 in East London, South Africa, Aaron started racing in 1999 when he was just a 5-year-old. And it was since then he never looked back. He took racing very seriously and enjoyed it thoroughly. Today he has got a number of achievements to his name. Apart from racing, he is currently a 3rd year student pursuing Bachelor of Commerce.
Aaron’s racing history
1995 – 2008
This was the early phase in Aaron’s racing career. He competed in various races in the South African motocross championships. He raced on bikes from 50cc to 85cc. He continued his career and won numerous regional and club championship titles. He was also the runner up in the national championship twice. He also qualified for the World JNR Championship in Heerde Netherlands for the 85cc category in 2008 and finished in the top 20.
2009 – 2011
After racing and participating in various events so far in his life, Aaron became familiar with the world of motorsports. He competed in Belgium National MX Championship in the MX2 international class. Then he qualified for the World JNR Championship for 125cc category in Italy in 2011. After that, he competed in the European SX Championship in Finland and Germany.
2012 – 2015
He competed in the USA AMA Outdoor National Championship in 450cc class.
2016 – 2017
Aaron secured the 3rd place in the 450cc class in the Emirates Desert Championship. From here onwards, he got hooked to desert rallying.
2017 – 2018
This has been one of Aaron’s finest phases in his racing career. He secured the 1st place in the Emirates Desert Championship (450cc) as well as in the Moto overall. He bagged the title in the overall Desert Storm Rally. In the DMX championship (450cc), Aaron came 3rd and was back on the top in the UAE Rally Championship.
2019
Aaron’s recent win includes securing 1st place in the round 1 – Dubai International Baja (FIM Cross Country Baja World Cup). He is currently at the 1st spot in the UAE Baja Championship.
Now, it’s time for him to be a part of team Vendetta Racing UAE and continue his winning streak in the 2019 Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge.
