Triumph has lifted the wraps off its all-new Trident 800, a next-generation middleweight roadster that is the Trident 660’s elder and Street Triple’s younger sibling. With a new 798cc triple-cylinder engine, a compact frame, and tech straight off Triumph’s premium line-up, this one’s built to make every twist of the throttle addictive.

The heart of the Trident 800 is pure Triumph — that signature triple tuned for sharp response and everyday usability. Producing 114 bhp at 10,750 rpm and 85 Nm at 8,500 rpm, the new engine promises a punchy midrange and a screaming top-end. A six-speed gearbox with Triumph Shift Assist makes clutchless upshifts and downshifts seamless, whether you’re gunning it on twisty roads or crawling through city traffic. At 198 kg, it’s lean enough to carve corners yet muscular enough to feel planted.

Handling, as expected from Triumph, is dialled in to perfection. A rigid, compact frame is paired with fully adjustable Showa suspension, featuring 41mm USD forks up front and a preload-adjustable rear monoshock. Braking duties are handled by dual 310mm discs and four-piston radial calipers, wrapped in sticky Michelin tyres for assured grip and control.

Modern riders get the full suite of electronics — cornering ABS, lean-sensitive traction control, and three riding modes (Road, Sport, and Rain). Cruise control and Bluetooth connectivity come standard via My Triumph, syncing music, calls, and navigation through a sleek 3.5-inch TFT display.

Design-wise, the Trident 800 looks every bit as aggressive as it rides. The sculpted 14-litre tank, brushed aluminium accents, and raised muffler ooze attitude, while details like gold-finished alloys and a minimal LED tail-light underline its sporty personality.

Available in Ash Grey with Diablo Red, Carnival Red with Graphite, and Jet Black, the new Trident 800 has all the ingredients to make some noise in the middleweight naked segment. Can’t wait to get our hands on it here in the UAE.
