Triumph has been giving enthusiasts top-notch products. The British brand’s Stree Triple range of motorcycles has been extremely popular middleweights amongst the riders. And to make things even more interesting, Triumph has updated the line up for 2023 and also added the Street Triple Moto2 Edition for the fans to drool over.
The 2023 Triumph Street Triple Moto2 Edition and the updated RS model share quite similarities. While the latter is indeed performance-oriented and brings quite a sporty platter to the table, the former takes things that much more further.
First things first. The Street Triple Moto2 Edition is powered by a revised 765cc inline 3-cylinder engine that makes 128.2 bhp at 12,000 rpm. It is mated to a 6-speed gearbox that is accompanied by Triumph’s bi-directional quickshifter.
One of the key features of the Triumph Street Triple Moto2 Edition that sets it apart from the RS and R models is the clip ons. They are set much lower with a sharper rake for that aggressive and demanding riding position and more responsive front end.
For the suspension, Triumph has gone ahead with the best of the best, Ohlins. At the front, there is a pair of fully adjustable NIX30 forks whereas at the back, we have Ohlins STX40 piggyback reservoir fully-adjustable monoshock. The braking duties on the Moto2 Edition are handled by Brembo Stylema four-piston, radially-mounted monobloc calipers, a Brembo MCS radial master cylinder, and two 310mm floating discs.
Triumph Street Triple Moto2 Edition also features a few carbon fibre body parts along with two special racing-inspired colour schemes. The company is offering this model in limited numbers.
