Triumph has announced its Chrome Collection of motorcycles for its Modern Classic range. Available in only limited numbers, these models feature a chrome fuel tank for that added bling and premiumness.
Triumph Chrome Collection is available with the Bonneville and Rocket family. This means that customers can get a chrome fuel tank with Bonneville T120, Scrambler 1200, Bobber, Speedmaster, Thruxton RS as well as the Rocket GT and Rocket R.
It is being said that each chrome fuel tank is hand done which takes around 1 hr 40 min. The entire process includes ultrasonic cleaning and rinsing, the application of a durable nickel-plated base layer and the final application of the decorative chrome layer.
Chrome finishing certainly adds a more premium look to the motorcycle. It is not only difficult to make but also pretty cumbersome to maintain. But it does turn heads.
