Indian Motorcycle makes some of the most ravishing bikes that money can buy. They have a different aura and style which is unfathomable by many but praised by the rest. Even after being unbelievably beautiful, people still try to customise their Indians to make them unique. And that’s what the Top Mountain is all about – uniqueness.
What is it?
Built by Austrian Indian dealer Markus Krasser from Styrian Motor Cycle (SMC), the Top Mountain was originally an Indian Chief Vintage. The customisation has been specifically carried out to suit the ecosystem of the Top Motorcycle Mountain Museum of Austria.
Why was it built?
Located at the highest hotel in Europe, the Top Motorcycle Mountain Museum is going to feature this masterstroke of art among all the other motorcycles that it already has. The Top Mountain has been carefully designed and a great heed has been paid to the details. If you look closely, the paint job of the bike depicts scenes from the museum and some of the other 250 bikes on display. It’s outstanding.
Interesting elements
A few elements of the customised Indian Chief Vintage include a massive 26-inch front wheel, air suspensions for both the wheels which can be adjusted via a small switch, the exhaust pipes are magnificently routed under the rear wheel fairing to a single exit at the centre of the rear end. We’re speculating that since the Top Mountain is going to be a centre of attention for most of its future life, the engine has been left untouched.
