Ducati has released a press release announcing a World Premiere on 22 July. While the company has not said what the upcoming event will be about, it’s speculated that a special edition Ducati motorcycle will be unveiled at the World Premiere. Considering the number 21 mentioned in the picture attached with the press release, chances are that the Italian brand’s new special edition bike will honour Troy Bayliss, Ducati’s most successful World Superbike racer.

Astride Ducati motorcycles, Troy Bayliss has won 3 World Superbike titles in 2001, 2006 and 2008. The rider has a total of 52 World Superbike victories to his name and ranks third in the history of the championship behind Jonathan Rea and Carl Fogarty.

2021 marks the 20th anniversary of Troy’s first WSBK championship. The number 21 is also his racing number. Expect the special edition Ducati to be a Panigale V4 bearing a dedicated livery. More details about the same will be available on 22 July at the World Premiere.
