Triumph has released a teaser video that shows the all-new Tiger 1200 kicking some dirt, going sideways in gravel, and crossing water bodies on a single wheel. These are some of the trivial things that the upcoming dual-sport motorcycle from the British brand can do without breaking a sweat. Of course, there is a lot more that’s left to be seen when the curtain finally lifts up.
The all-new Triumph Tiger 1200 has been under development for quite a while. Now, it has reached its final stages of testing. While details continue to remain a blur, the new Tiger is likely to draw power from the same 1200cc inline 3-cylinder engine that Triumph has slapped on the new Speed Triple 1200 RS. We expect this motor to be tuned slightly different to suit the go-anywhere character of the Tiger.
In terms of design, styling and looks, the new Triumph Tiger 1200 would be similar to the Tiger 900. The front end would have a sleeker appearance with the newly-designed LED headlamp with integrated LED DRLs. There would be a front beak and a windshield that should be adjustable.
Triumph says that the new Tiger 1200 will be significantly lighter than its closest competition. Can you guess which motorcycle is that?
