The final race of the 2019 Al Masaood National Motorcycle Championship and Ducati Cup held on 22nd March marked the wrap up of this year’s thrilling season. We’d like to congratulate everyone who was in some way related to the championship; it was a successful season. We’d also like to congratulate our sponsor rider Mahmoud Tannir, who won the title, once again, making us proud and grinning!
Tannir looked in his best shape throughout the season. He raced brilliantly on his Honda CBR600RR since the round 1 and showed his immense talent and skills at the Dubai Autodrome circuit. He took the lead in the Supersport category early in the championship and continued so till the end. The final chart listed him at the top with 250 points in total. Following him at the second place was Katerina Nazarova on her Yamaha R6 with 156 points. The third place was taken by John Clark astride his Ducati 848. He secured 130 points.
This year we also have the introduction of the Ducati Cup and Ducati Cup Rookie categories. Participants of both the categories displayed fine races throughout the season. We are pretty sure everyone had a great time being at the track.
It was Saska Totaro who won the Ducati Cup with 275 points. The Ducati Cup Rookie had James Pearson as the winner with 157 points. All the riders of the Ducati Cup were riding the Ducati 959 Corse bikes.
We clearly had a blast at the 2019 Al Al Masaood National Motorcycle Championship and the addition of the Ducati Cup was like the cherry on top of the cake. It was an amazing season and we are really looking forward to the 2020 championship and have huge expectations from it. Until next time!
