Knowing for its highly capable adventure motorcycles, KTM has introduced a new variant of the 390 Adventure in India. The latest iteration of the motorcycle is carrying the moniker KTM 390 Adventure X and has been launched at a much lower price tag. So, is this budget-friendly variant of the KTM for ADV enthusiasts worth considering?
To keep the cost low, the KTM 390 Adventure X ditches some of the electronic features found in the standard variant, such as traction control, quick-shifter, and cornering ABS. The instrument cluster is also downgraded from a TFT panel to an LCD display, and there’s no Bluetooth connectivity either. However, the motorcycle’s hardware remains the same.
The KTM 390 Adventure X is powered by a 373.2cc, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected, DOHC engine that churns out 43 bhp and 37 Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox and comes with an assist and slipper clutch. The bike is equipped with disc brakes on both ends, along with dual-channel ABS as standard. It also features USD front forks and a mono-shock absorber at the rear.
In summary, the KTM 390 Adventure X should be an excellent option for adventure enthusiasts who are looking for a budget-friendly alternative to the standard variant. Despite the absence of some premium features, it still packs a punch with its powerful engine and top-notch hardware.
