Suzuki has pulled the covers off two stylish neo-retro machines — the GSX-8T and GSX-8TT — both based on the GSX-8R’s proven platform but with a throwback twist.
Powering both models is the same 776cc parallel-twin engine found in the GSX-8R and V-Strom 800DE, producing 83 hp and 78 Nm. The duo also carries over the 6-speed gearbox with a bidirectional quickshifter, ensuring lively road manners.

Design is where the 8T twins set themselves apart. The GSX-8T embraces a roadster aesthetic with a round LED headlight, muscular tank, flat bars, and upright ergonomics. The 8TT, on the other hand, adds café racer flair with a bikini fairing, belly pan, and a more premium seat — though it keeps the same relaxed riding position.

Both bikes retain the tubular steel frame, non-adjustable KYB suspension, Nissin brakes, and Dunlop RoadSport 2 tyres in 120/70-ZR17 (front) and 180/55-ZR17 (rear) sizes. A bigger 16.5-litre fuel tank offers more range than the GSX-8R’s 14-litre unit. Interestingly, both retros are lighter than the GSX-8R, with the 8T weighing 201 kg and the 8TT at 203 kg.

Electronics include switchable traction control, three ride modes, ABS, and a TFT dash, along with USB-C charging. Colours range from matte black, green, and gold on the GSX-8T to dual-tone gloss black/red and matte green/yellow on the GSX-8TT.
Expect the GSX-8T twins to deliver the same thrills as their sportier sibling, now with a healthy dose of retro charm.
