It’s always good to have new motorcycles introduced in the market. Not only does it offer healthy competition within the industry but also brings more options to the table for the buyers.
The UAE already has a plethora of products from multiple motorcycle manufacturers. Now, adding to the list is a new name from Italy – Fantic Motorcycles, which has entered the region under the umbrella of Avanti Zone.
Avanti Zone, the dealer of Fantic Motorcycles in the UAE, recently organised a launch event at The Cars Cafe in the Dubai Autodrome area for the brand’s Caballero range of machines. Apart from the various trims of the Caballero models, the Motocross and Enduro range of Fantic Motorcycles were present too.
Fantic Motorcycles has a number of models spread across different categories under the Caballero range. There’s the Deluxe 500 that offers a mix of scrambler and off-road for urban use. For those who want to explore the unknown, we have the Explorer 500. Other trims include Rally 500, Anniversary 500 and Flat Track 500.
These models are powered by a 449cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that makes 40 HP at 7500 rpm and generates 43 Nm of peak torque at 6000 rpm. It is mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
There’s another higher-capacity model called Caballero 700. It’s a 689cc twin-cylinder motorcycle with 74 HP and 60 Nm of torque. For the transmission, there is a 6-speed gearbox.
Now coming to the motocross category, Fantic Motorcycles has 3 models to offer – XXF 250, XEF 250 Trail and XXF 450. The first two have a 250cc, 4-stroke, single-cylinder engine. They differ in terms of equipment. For example, the XXF 250 is fitted with a fully adjustable KYB suspension setup and has an aluminium frame. On the other hand, the XEF has a non-adjustable suspension from Fantic itself and uses a steel frame.
The last one, XXF 450 comes in with all guns blazing. It uses a bigger 450cc engine with a 5-speed gearbox, uses an aluminium frame and weighs just 102 kg. It also comes with a KYB adjustable suspension and a digital instrument cluster with LCD.
