Ducati’s off-road dreams just got real. The iconic Italian brand has kicked off production of its first-ever motocross machine, the Desmo450 MX, at its Borgo Panigale factory, entering into a new era for red-blooded dirt enthusiasts.

Fresh off a GP podium finish by Jeremy Seewer and a national title on debut with Alessandro Lupino, the Desmo450 MX is more than just Ducati’s motocross debut – it’s a statement. Legendary MX champ Tony Cairoli, who helped develop the bike, was on hand to witness the historic first model roll off the line.

Purpose-built for serious throttle therapy, the Desmo450 MX is powered by a 449.6 cc single-cylinder Desmodromic engine – a unicorn in the off-road world. It’s tuned for fat torque down low, strong midrange punch, and thrilling top-end extension, making each gear count whether you’re hammering through corners or launching out of the gate.

Its lightweight aluminum frame minimizes welds for ultimate stiffness and razor-sharp handling. But Ducati didn’t stop there – the Desmo450 MX also becomes the first motocross bike with Traction Control, smart enough to stay out of your way when it matters most and kick in when you need that edge.
