After a lot of preparation and patience, Dakar 2020 finally kicked off on 5th January from Jeddah and marked its debut here in the Middle East. Just like expected, stage 1 was filled with action, thrill, and skilful riding.
At the end of stage 1, we have TOBY PRICE leading the charts with his RED BULL KTM FACTORY TEAM. His time was 03H 21′ 33” with a penalty of 00H 02′ 00”.
Following Toby closely at the 2nd place is RICKY BRABEC from MONSTER ENERGY HONDA TEAM 2020. He scored a time of 03H 21′ 38′ that’s at a variation of + 00H 00′ 05′ from Toby’s time.
The 3rd place was taken by MATTHIAS WALKNER from RED BULL KTM FACTORY TEAM. With 03H 22′ 13” on the clock, he is + 00H 00′ 40” behind Toby.
DAVID MCBRIDE and DAVID MABBS from our local team VENDETTARACINGUAE.COM finished at 109th and 112th place with a time of 05H 22′ 34” and 05H 31′ 20” respectively.
On the other hand, MOHAMMED BALOOSHI from DUUST RALLY TEAM clocked a time of 04H 08′ 19” and is currently at the 42nd place at the end of stage 1. His teammate, ABDULLAH AL SHATTI is at the 49th position with a time of 04H 17′ 27”.
