CFMoto Papio XO-1 front quarter cornering

Chinese motorcycle manufacturer, CFMoto, is known to make some striking-looking products. For example, just have a look at its 800NK naked motorcycle that looks like something from the future. Surprising us once again, CFMoto has revealed its Honda Grom-like 125cc retro bike that brings new and different styling to its segment.

Named the Papio XO-1, it is perhaps the first-of-its-kind motorcycle with neo-retro and modern styling in its segment. It features twin circular LED headlamps that have different designs representing the letters “X” and “O” inspired by the two typical buttons on a gamepad. The quarter/bikini fairing adds to the overall look of the machine. We also like the bar-end mirrors and two-piece step-up seat.

Another highlighting feature of the CFMoto Papio XO-1 is the taillight setup which is refreshing to look at. But the showstopper at the rear has to be the under-seat exhaust that peeks out from right below the taillight unit.

Powering this motorcycle is a 125cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that pumps out 9.5 hp at 8500 rpm and 7.8 Nm of peak torque at 6500 rpm. While these aren’t huge figures, considering the size of the Papio XO-1, it would be fun to ride it around town.

It is being said that the CFMoto Papio XO-1 will currently be available only in the Chinese market and has 3 colours – Nebula White, Fiery Red, Moss Green. Do you think CFMoto should bring it here in the UAE? Let us know.
