The German motorcycle company has also worked to ensure these ADVs are as lightweight as possible. The 900 GS and its adventure model are 14 kg lighter than their previous iterations. BMW has achieved this reduction by using a light weight plastic fuel tank and a redesigned rear section.

Some of the other highlights of the new 900 GS-es include fully adjustable USD front forks, lighter swingarm, Akrapovic exhaust, heated grips, hand protectors, new foot brake lever, a multifunction holder and new bodywork.
