It’s good news for ADV lovers. BMW has introduced 3 new adventure motorcycles – F 850 GS, F 900 GS and F 900 GS Adventure – and upped the ante in the middleweight ADV segment. Let’s have a quick look at these new models.

The new BMW F 850 GS makes around 87 horses and 91 Nm of peak torque. On the other hand, the 900s share the 895cc twin-cylinder engine that puts out 105 HP and 93 Nm of max twisting force.

BMW has gone full guns blazing with the new GS models. All three models are equipped with full-LED lighting, 6.5-inch TFT display, ABS, traction control and riding modes.

The German motorcycle company has also worked to ensure these ADVs are as lightweight as possible. The 900 GS and its adventure model are 14 kg lighter than their previous iterations. BMW has achieved this reduction by using a light weight plastic fuel tank and a redesigned rear section.

Some of the other highlights of the new 900 GS-es include fully adjustable USD front forks, lighter swingarm, Akrapovic exhaust, heated grips, hand protectors, new foot brake lever, a multifunction holder and new bodywork.
