Ducati appears to be quietly prepping a new Diavel V4 S, with fresh design patent images surfacing online. While there’s no official word from the Italian firm yet, the visuals suggest an evolution rather than a full-blown reinvention of Ducati’s muscle cruiser.
At a glance, the Diavel V4 S looks familiar—and that’s no bad thing. But dig a little deeper and the enthusiast details start to pop. The most noticeable change is a new wheel design, featuring revised spokes that could shave off a bit of unsprung weight, promising sharper responses when hustling this big brute through corners.

Around the back, Ducati seems to have given the iconic quad-exhaust a fresh twist. The tailpipes now wear angled, slash-cut outlets, complete with honeycomb mesh inserts, adding a touch of extra aggression and premium flair to the Diavel’s already menacing rear view.

There are also signs of reworked body panels and air intakes, which look closely related to those on the Diavel V4 RS. Adding to the intrigue, visible wiring around the front fork hints at the possibility of electronically controlled, semi-active suspension, a feature that would fit perfectly with the S badge.

Engine details remain under wraps. The current Diavel V4 is powered by the 1,158cc Granturismo V4, producing 168 bhp, while the RS variant is rumoured to step up to the more hardcore Desmosedici Stradale V4. Whether the Diavel V4 S sticks with the Granturismo unit or gets mild tuning remains to be seen.
For now, this looks like Ducati fine-tuning an already outrageous machine, and Diavel fans will be watching closely.
