If Kōji Kabuto ever needed a ride when he wasn’t piloting the mighty Mazinger Z, this custom motorcycle would be his go-to. Introducing the world’s first “Mazinger Z” motorcycle, crafted by the renowned customizer Francisco Alí Manén and his company Lord Drake Kustoms, based in Málaga, Spain, and Miami, USA.
This unique creation is inspired by the iconic 1970s manga series Mazinger Z, the brainchild of Japanese cartoonist Gō Nagai. The series was groundbreaking, featuring the first giant robot piloted by a human protagonist, and it has influenced many, including directors like Guillermo del Toro (Pacific Rim) and Michael Bay (Transformers). Fran Manén, who grew up dreaming about Mazinger Z, has now transformed those dreams into reality by creating this custom Harley Davidson Scrambler.
Built on the DRAKER 2 model – part of a new line of Harley Davidson Sportster-based scramblers created by Lord Drake Customs – this bike will be piloted by a client from the Netherlands. Just as Professor Jūzō Kabuto built Mazinger Z for his grandson Kōji, Fran Manén has crafted this “Mazinger” on two wheels for his client.
The technical specs of this scrambler are just as impressive as its inspiration. It features custom rims, Ohlins shock absorbers, bespoke brake discs, a tailored exhaust, and a one-piece metal subframe, seat base, and fenders. The paint job pays homage to the Mazinger Z robot, with colors meticulously chosen to represent the robot’s head and feet. The tank proudly displays “Mazinger Z” (マジンガーZ) in Japanese, along with the number 72, marking the year the series premiered.
For those interested, the DRAKER 2 series is now available for order through Lord Drake Kustoms. Each bike can be customized with your choice of colors, finishes, or even themes – just like this Mazinger Z scrambler. Once completed, Lord Drake Kustoms will ship your personalized ride anywhere in the world.
