Enea Bastianini on his Ducati crossed the chequered flag at the 2022 Americas GP winning the race and scoring his 2nd win of this season. Following him was Alex Rins who showcased a brilliant race. The 3rd spot at the podium was occupied by another Ducati – Jack Miller.
One of the main dramas of the 2022 Americas GP happened at the starting grid. Marc Marquez, who returned to racing after encountering a nasty crash earlier this season, had a terrible start. For some reason, his Honda didn’t launch as the Spaniard wanted. So, by the first corner, MM93 was pushed right at the back of the pack.
However, Marc being Marc, continued to give his 100% and started gaining places quickly. From 24th, he came to 17th by the end of the opening lap and by lap 7, he was in the top 10. Once again, a thrilling performance by Marquez gave him the 6th position.
The battle between Jack Millier and Alex Rins was also something to look out for. During the end laps, these riders showcased some fantastic motorsport. And it was Alex’s amazing last lap that allowed him to take over the 2nd place from Miller.
