KTM has officially revealed the 2026 990 Duke for global markets, and while the bike gets a visual makeover, the mechanical package remains unchanged. The decision signals KTM’s confidence in the current platform, which continues to deliver strong performance without needing a major overhaul.

The big update is the new colour scheme – a striking combination of white, black and KTM’s signature orange. Inspired by the brand’s older racing and street liveries, the design serves as a nostalgic nod to the original Duke lineage that many riders would associate with the OG 390 Duke. The aggressive bodywork, compact tail and low-mounted headlamp stay familiar, but the refreshed graphics give the 990 Duke a sharper showroom presence.

Power comes from the muscular 947cc twin-cylinder engine, producing 122 bhp and 103 Nm of torque. The combination of strong midrange grunt, light weight and compact dimensions promises an entertaining ride both on twisty roads and fast highway stretches. KTM’s tuning continues to offer quick roll-on acceleration and a broad torque band.

Underneath, the lightweight steel trellis frame is paired with WP Apex suspension at both ends. Designed for precision and control, the setup offers adjustability for preload, compression and rebound, allowing riders to fine-tune the bike for road conditions or added luggage.
While the hardware remains unchanged, the 2026 model retains all the electronic aids expected from a modern middleweight naked—multiple ride modes, traction control, cornering ABS and likely wheelie and engine-brake management.
