The 2022 Harley-Davidson Nightster has been revealed. The latest motorcycle from the American company starts a new chapter in the brand’s Sportster motorcycle story – a leap forward in performance and design while remaining an accessible entry point to motorcycling and the brand.
The Harley-Davidson Nightster combines a classic Sportster model silhouette with the on-demand performance of the new Revolution Max 975T powertrain and a host of contemporary electronic rider aids and features. It is said to redefine the Sportster motorcycle experience for a new generation of riders.
Bringing the Harley-Davidson Nightster to life is the new Revolution Max 975T engine. It is a 60-deg V-twin, liquid-cooled motor that makes 90 HP at 7500 rpm and 95 Nm of torque at 5000 rpm. It has been designed and tuned to deliver strong acceleration and robust power through the mid-range. Being a new powertrain, it features hydraulic valve lash adjustment that ensures quiet operation and eliminates the need for costly, complicated service procedures.
The combination of the powerful and torquey engine with a lightweight chassis has resulted in an agile motorcycle that suits well for the urban environment and handles curved backroads, too. Mid-foot controls and a low-rise handlebar put the rider in a centered, comfortable posture on the bike. The low seat height and narrow profile make it possible for most riders to confidently place their feet down flat at a stop.
The Harley-Davidson Nightster features multiple electronic rider aids such as ABS, TCS, and Drag Torque Slip Control System. The motorcycle is also equipped with 3 rider modes – Rain, Road and Sport. Other features include a 4.0-inch analog speedometer with an inset multi-function LCD, all-LED lighting, Daymaker LED headlamp, and an 11.7-L fuel tank.
The 2022 Harley-Davidson Nightster will be available in Vivid Black, Gunship Grey, and Redline Red colour options.
