Yamaha has unveiled the 2021 Tracer 9 GT. It is a new sports tourer from the Japanese company that is powered by the same 890cc inline-3 engine that Yamaha has put in the 2021 MT-09. This motor has been tuned to churn out 115 bhp and 93 Nm – healthy figures for a motorcycle of this genre, right? The 6-speed gearbox comes with an assist and slipper clutch enhancing the overall riding experience.

What makes the 2021 Yamaha Tracer 9 GT a good sports tourer, apart from its engine, is the host of clever electronic rider aids. It has got a 6-axis IMU that is constantly monitoring your inputs and controlling a plethora of parameters to ensure that you can enjoy the ride fullest without having your teeth in your hands. The motorcycle also has traction control, wheelie control, switchable three-level slide control, cornering ABS, and different riding modes. Another great feature is the electronically adjustable KYB suspension setup.

The new Tracer 9 GT indeed looks purposeful. It has the confidence of taking you to places you otherwise wouldn’t have thought of going. Just like the headlamps, it has two instrument clusters. Well, actually two screens, for that matter. And this is one of the most distinctive consoles that we have ever seen on a motorcycle. Just like the overall visual stance of the Tracer 9 GT, the dash also feels purposeful.
