Ducati is streamlining the design of its products for 2021. For example, the new Panigale V2, that replaces the Panigale 959, carries styling cues that are inspired by mighty Panigale V4. Now, Ducati has unveiled another motorcycle from its 2021 product line-up and it is called the Supersport 950. Unsurprisingly, it also has Panigale V4-ish aesthetic elements.
The 2021 Ducati Supersport 950 features a set of familiar LED headlamps that impart an aggressive look to the motorcycle. Enhancing the overall front visual appearance, we have the frowning LED DRLs. The rearview mirrors are attached to the fairing and houses inbuilt side turn signals. The right side profile of the Supersport 950 has a twin exhaust assembly that adds the oomph factor. Also, the fins of the side fairing and high-rise tail section make the motorcycle look sportier.
At your disposal is 110 horsepower which is produced by the same 937cc L-twin engine which now adheres to the stricter Euro5 emission standards. The motor has been tuned to churn out 93 Nm of peak torque. The gearbox here is a 6-speed unit accompanied by a bi-directional quickshifter.
For the hardware, 43mm Marzocchi USD forks at the front and a Sachs monoshock at the rear handle the suspension duties in the Supersport 950 standard whereas 48mm Ohlins USD front forks and an Ohlins rear monoshock have been assigned for the same tasks in the Supersport 950S. The braking, however, comes from the same 320mm front discs with Brembo M4-32 monobloc radial calipers and 245mm rear disc. Ducati has included a new 4.3-inch TFT dash. Other electronics include three riding modes (Sport, Touring and Urban) and Bosch six-axis IMU.
