Yamaha Tenere 700 with Yoshimura exhaust

The Yamaha Tenere 700, or T7 as it’s affectionately known, should definitely be an exciting motorcycle to ride. The 689cc parallel-twin engine is a tried and tested motor that has been carrying out duties in the naked Yamaha MT-07 for years. While this engine is a great choice for both the serious and aspiring off-road adventure rider, to add a little more grunt to the Tenere 700, Yoshimura has come up with a brand-new exhaust.

Yoshimura’s new exhaust for the Tenere 700 is called the RS-12 ADV. It is a slip-on unit. With the company’s patent-pending PTF insert system, installing a sound insert or spark arrestor is a breeze! The RS-12 ADV adds horsepower and torque across the entire power spectrum. There is a gain of 3.7% in the maximum power output and 2.4% increase in the peak torque output. Apar from that, the exhaust note that the RS-12 provides is totally different from that of the stock exhaust and brings out the true character of the Tenere 700.

Yoshimura RS-12 ADV slip-on features:

Engineered for the demands of the off-road world.
Aggressive, intelligently designed, asymmetrical shaped RS-12 profile allows maximised muffler volume to help manage sound, add performance, weight reduction and provides more clearance for tyre and brake calliper.
Works-look matte carbon fibre end cap and stainless laser-etched custom heal guard with industry-leading design, innovation and detailing as expected from Yoshimura.
New RS-12 end cap design improves durability and eases servicing as compared to other sandwich mounting designs most commonly found in the industry.
New patent-pending Precision Taper Fit (PTF) insert ring makes it easy to install and remove sound inserts and spark arrestors.
Proudly designed, developed and made in the USA.
