Suzuki appears to be developing a new sports touring motorcycle based on the GSX-8R platform. According to a leaked international certification document, two upcoming models—GSX-8T and GSX-8TT—are in the pipeline, likely representing standard and premium variants.
Both models are expected to feature the same 776cc parallel-twin engine found on the GSX-8R, GSX-8S, and V-Strom 800, producing 81.8 bhp and 78 Nm. While the core engine remains unchanged, Suzuki may tweak the gearing and fueling to suit the touring-focused character of the 8T lineup.
The GSX-8T is expected to be a road-biased sports tourer, similar in spirit to the Yamaha Tracer 900 and Triumph Tiger Sport 660. It will likely offer upright ergonomics, 17-inch alloy wheels, and improved comfort for long-distance riding. Design cues may be borrowed from the GSX-S1000GX, Suzuki’s litre-class touring machine.
The TT version could pack higher-spec equipment and more touring-oriented features to further differentiate it.
Both models are anticipated to make their global debut at EICMA 2025 in Milan this November.
