Suzuki has pulled the wraps off a special edition of its legendary hyperbike, the Hayabusa, and while it doesn’t get mechanical upgrades, the visual treatment alone is enough to make enthusiasts sit up and take notice.

This special edition Busa comes dressed in a striking blue-and-white livery, a colour combination etched deep in Suzuki’s racing DNA. It’s a nod to the marque’s rich history on track, and on the road it gives the big Hayabusa an unmistakable presence. Adding to the exclusivity are a retro-styled Suzuki logo, a special emblem on the tank, and powder-coated black exhaust tips and heat shields. Suzuki also throws in a colour-matched pillion seat cowl as standard, a small but significant touch that enhances its single-seat, track-inspired silhouette.

Mechanically, the special edition remains the same—and that’s no bad thing. Power still comes from the colossal 1,340cc inline-four, pumping out 188hp and 149Nm of torque. This is the motor that built the Hayabusa’s reputation as one of the fastest, most relentless road machines ever made, and it continues to deliver warp-speed acceleration with a silky, bottomless surge of power.

Despite its reputation as an old-school brute, the current-gen Hayabusa is brimming with electronics. Riders get cruise control, traction control, hill-hold, multiple power modes, a bi-directional quickshifter and dual-channel ABS—all designed to tame the beast without diluting its raw thrill.

This special edition doesn’t reinvent the Hayabusa—it celebrates it. With its retro racing hues and subtle details, it’s aimed squarely at collectors and die-hard fans who want a piece of Suzuki’s living legend, dressed in colours that echo its glorious past.
