Royal Enfield is steadily preparing its next major step in the twin-cylinder space, with the Continental GT-R 750 and Himalayan 750 edging closer to production form. Both motorcycles were previewed as near-production prototypes at EICMA, offering a clear indication of where the brand is headed beyond its current 650cc lineup.
Royal Enfield Continental GT-R 750
The Continental GT-R 750 builds directly on the familiar Continental GT DNA but pushes it into sharper, more performance-oriented territory. The prototype retains the Harris Performance-developed frame while adding a full café racer fairing inspired by Royal Enfield’s GT Cup race bikes. Visual highlights include a sculpted nose cowl, extended seat hump, lower clip-on handlebars and sportier rear-set footpegs. Alloy wheels replace wire rims, while upgraded braking hardware with twin front discs and ByBre calipers signals improved performance. Apart from a bold “750” badge, the engine’s external design remains understated, keeping the classic GT silhouette intact.

Royal Enfield Himalayan 750
The Himalayan 750, meanwhile, represents a bigger philosophical shift. Moving away from retro styling, it adopts a modern adventure-bike stance with Dakar-inspired bodywork, a tall windscreen and a more upright riding position. Upside-down front forks, twin front discs and a revised chassis underline its step up from the Himalayan 450 and 650-based platforms. Subtle engine changes, including revised casings and indications of ride-by-wire technology, suggest meaningful mechanical upgrades under the skin.
While Royal Enfield has not confirmed output figures, the jump to 750cc is expected to deliver a noticeable bump over the 650’s 47hp, potentially pushing closer to the 60hp mark.
With both bikes shown openly and testing already well underway, expect more details to surface over the coming months. A full reveal is likely toward the end of 2026, setting the stage for Royal Enfield’s 2027 model-year expansion into new performance and adventure segments.
