You won’t see an Aprilia RSV4 in the current WSBK scenario but the motorcycle was a part of the game back in the day. And to celebrate the history Aprilia has introduced a new livery for the RSV4 and Tuono 1100.

Aprilia is paying homage to its World Superbike (WSBK) history with the unveiling of a striking new livery for its RSV4 and Tuono 1100 models. This latest design is a nostalgic nod to Aprilia’s triumphant past in the WSBK arena, reminding enthusiasts of the brand’s dominance on the track.

Back in the day, the Aprilia RSV4 was a formidable contender in the WSBK series, clinching victories and championships with legendary riders like Max Biaggi at the helm. One of the pivotal moments in Aprilia’s WSBK journey was Biaggi’s inaugural win aboard the RSV4 at the historic Brno circuit. This victory marked the beginning of a legacy, foreshadowing the RSV4’s dominance in the following years.

To commemorate this significant milestone, Aprilia has introduced a new paint scheme for the RSV4 1100, reminiscent of the livery donned by the factory Aprilia WorldSBK team in 2009. The design features a sleek combination of predominantly black panels with a striking white front and bold red accents, echoing the iconic colors that graced the race track during Aprilia’s golden era in WSBK.

The tribute doesn’t end with the RSV4 alone; Aprilia has extended this homage to its Tuono 1100 model as well. Adopting the same classic livery, the Tuono 1100 pays homage to Aprilia’s racing pedigree while offering enthusiasts a taste of nostalgia combined with modern performance.

Unveiled at the Circuit of the Americas during the MotoGP Grand Prix of the Americas, the new livery drew attention from enthusiasts and spectators alike. This eventful weekend saw Aprilia’s Maverick Vinales make history by clinching victory, becoming the first rider to win MotoGP races on three different manufacturers – Aprilia, Yamaha, and Suzuki. The unveiling of the RSV4 and Tuono 1100 livery added an extra layer of excitement to Aprilia’s triumphant weekend, reaffirming the brand’s commitment to excellence on both the track and the road.
