Triumph had released the first teaser of the new Speed Triple 1200 RR last month. Now, the iconic British brand has shared a new teaser video of the upcoming 3-cylinder motorcycle. The latest footage reveals a few more key details of the Speed Triple 1200 RR.
As per the new teaser video, the Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RR will have a full LED headlamp with integrated signature LED DRLs that would impart a retro-modern look. It is not clear in the footage but it appears that Triumph might use a semi fairing to give the motorcycle a cafe racer styling; perhaps, similar to what we have seen on the beautiful Thruxton R.
The Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RR will also have a rear seat cowl that is likely to be offered as an accessory. We expect the upcoming motorcycle to be made available in multiple colours including red.
More details regarding the Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RR are expected to come into the limelight in the near future. What we do know is the new bike will share its underpinnings with the Speed Triple 1200 RS that comes fitted with top-notch Ohlins NIX30 upside down forks and Ohlins TTX36 twin-tube monoshock for the suspension duties. Braking responsibilities have been assigned to Brembo Stylema radial monobloc calipers, 320mm twin front rotors, and 270mm rear rotor.
As for the engine, it is going to be a 1160cc inline 3-cylinder mill that makes 178 bhp at 10,750 rpm along with 125 Nm of peak torque at 9,000 rpm in the Speed Triple 1200 RS. Triumph might tune it slightly different for the 1200 RR.
