It was the 2nd race of the 2022 MotoGP world championship and it was delayed because of the rains. However, the pouring did stop and the riders lined up at the track for the 2022 Indonesian Grand Prix. However, the six-time world champion Marc Marquez was absent from the grid as he had a terrible high-side crash during the warm-up lap & suffered from a concussion.
KTM’s Miguel Oliveira was 7th at the grid but the Portuguese rider quickly took the lead of the race on the 5th lap. He managed to kept things that way for the remaining laps and came out to be the winner of the 2022 Indonesian Grand Prix. This was his 4th career MotoGP win.
Following him to cross the chequered flag was the reigning MotoGP world champion, Fabio Quartararo on his Yamaha. Pramac’s Johann Zarco secured the final place at the podium.
Suzuki riders, Alex Rins and Joan Mir, finished 5th & 6th respectively. Morbidelli, Brad Binder, Aleix Espargaro & Darryn Binder completed the top 10 rankings.
