Kawasaki Z7 Hybrid and Ninja 7 Hybrid

Kawasaki has rolled out key updates for the Z7 Hybrid and Ninja 7 Hybrid, making their hybrid systems significantly more usable in real-world riding.

The biggest change? Riders can now manually switch between full EV mode and hybrid mode at speeds of up to 60 km/h – more than double the previous 25 km/h limit. This upgrade makes a noticeable difference, especially when approaching zero-emission zones or transitioning between city and open-road riding. The switch between electric and petrol power is now far more seamless and practical.

Both bikes continue to use the same hybrid setup, combining an electric motor with a liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine. The system delivers a combined output of 68 bhp at 10,500 rpm and 60 Nm of torque at 2,800 rpm, offering a punchy yet efficient riding experience.

Kawasaki has also enhanced the riding dynamics by updating Sport Mode. Earlier limited to manual transmission (MT) with paddle shifters, Sport Mode now gets a dedicated automatic transmission (AT) setting, giving riders the option to enjoy aggressive riding without constantly managing gear shifts.

Cycle parts remain unchanged, with both bikes featuring telescopic front forks and a Uni-Trak rear suspension. Braking duties are handled by dual 300 mm discs up front and a 250 mm disc at the rear.
