Japanese jewellery artisans called U-Treasure have created a scale model of the Honda Monkey that is costlier than the actual bike itself.
It is a 1:12 scale model of the 1984 Honda Monkey Z50J Gold Limited Edition that consists of actual yellow gold. Well, it isn’t made of gold entirely. The majority of the item is made of 925 silver and then finished in gold.
The gold scale model is an officially licensed creation of U-Treasure whose design process was supervised by Honda itself. It is available in limited numbers only. Interested buyers can make their reservations in Dec 1, 2023 to Mar 25, 2024 booking window. The delivery will commence from July 26, 2024.
As for the pricing, it costs ¥550,000 that converts to around 3,739 USD based on the current conversion rates. For reference, the Honda Monkey in Japan is currently for sale at ¥440,000 or 2,991 USD.
