Brembo, renowned for its high-performance braking systems, has teamed up with French tyre giant Michelin to revolutionize braking technology. This marks another major partnership for Brembo in 2024, following its earlier collaboration with Öhlins.
The new partnership focuses on integrating Brembo’s advanced SENSIFY braking system with Michelin’s tyre grip data technology. Real-time data exchange between the two systems aims to enhance braking performance by significantly reducing stopping distances.
Initial testing at Michelin’s R&D facility in France utilized identical machines, one equipped with Brembo’s SENSIFY system and Michelin’s connected solutions, and the other with standard ABS. Results showed superior performance from the Brembo-Michelin combo, thanks to Michelin’s trusted Pilot Sport and Pilot Alpin tyres.
This breakthrough has the potential to elevate safety and performance, offering riders better control and potentially preventing crashes. With promising results, this innovation could soon set a new benchmark in braking technology.
