BMW Motorrad is gearing up to expand its boxer family with the global unveiling of the new R1300 RS and RT models on April 29. These upcoming bikes follow the recent launch of the R1300 R and are expected to share the same advanced platform as the R1300 GS.

Both the RS and RT are likely to feature the updated 1,300cc boxer twin engine, delivering 143 bhp at 7,750 rpm and 149 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm—matching the output of the R1300 R. The chassis will also see a major revamp, shifting from the traditional tubular steel frame to a modern sheet metal mainframe with a bolt-on cast aluminium rear.

Performance upgrades mirror the R1300 R’s 9 bhp bump over the previous R1250 models, suggesting similar improvements for the RS and RT versions. Pricing details remain under wraps for now, but all should be revealed at the end of the month.
