As bikers, we aspire to various kinds of motorcycles and riding styles. Perhaps, for most of us, a Harley is the best way to enter motorcycling in full glamour and lifestyle. Just like how Harley gave many of us such a world, no wonder it was also responsible for Saif’s inclination to this lifestyle.
While Saif did fall in love with Harleys, he simultaneously grew a special kind of affection for cafe racers and the lifestyle associated with these motorcycles. As a result, he began his pursuit of the perfect cafe racer.
Saif was putting in the effort; reading, searching and gaining knowledge about cafe racers. During the process, he set the bar for his dream cafe racer so high that he just couldn’t settle for anything short of the PERFECT cafe racer for him – a motorcycle that will not only offer style but also durability, credibility and functionality.
One lucky day, Saif laid his eyes on a motorcycle and for him, it was love at first sight. He knew then and there that this is what he has been searching for and decided that he’s not going home without this beauty.
Curious to know which motorcycle was it? Well, it was none other than a drop-dead gorgeous BMW R100 created by Cafe Racer Dreams who have put in a lot of hard work to transform the bike, that was originally manufactured in 1980, into nothing short of a masterpiece.
Cafe Racer Dreams have stripped down the donor motorcycle. The entire engine has been removed, dismantled and rebuilt again as brand-new. The same goes for the whole braking and suspension setup. The carbs have been thoroughly jet-cleaned and put back. In fact, even the subframe has been cut and sanded and later painted all-black for the immaculate finish.
Clearly, a plethora of parts has gone into this build. For example, Renthal USD handlebar, speedometer and bar-end turn signals from Motogadget, Bitwell grips and Kellermann rear indicators. The result is a masterpiece indeed, wouldn’t you agree?
