BMW Motorrad has pulled the wraps off its F 450 GS Adventure Concept at EICMA 2024, revealing a promising addition to the adventure segment. Designed for A2 license holders in global markets, the F 450 GS will slot perfectly between BMW’s G 310 GS and the larger F 800 and F 900 series when it goes into production.

The concept boasts an all-new 450cc twin-cylinder engine, delivering approximately 48 bhp. Engineered from scratch, this power unit is focused on low-end torque and responsiveness, ideal for both on-road and off-road performance. BMW has utilized lightweight materials like magnesium, achieving a compact and light engine build that enhances agility.

The chassis has also been newly developed to ensure a nimble ride, with adjustable USD front suspension and a rear shock absorber featuring load-dependent damping for versatile terrain handling. Weighing in at just 175 kg, the bike promises an impressive power-to-weight ratio. As expected from BMW, it’s packed with high-end features like lean-sensitive ABS, customizable riding modes, and a 6.5-inch TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity.

The production version, scheduled for launch next year, will retain much of the concept’s design and features. BMW aims to make the seat height more accessible and will offer a choice between cast aluminum and 19-17-inch cross-spoke wheels. With the F 450 GS Adventure, BMW is set to redefine the mid-range adventure experience.
