BMW R nineT has been around for quite a while and over the years, it has created a fan following of its own. We too have a soft spot for motorcycles with boxer engines. Now, BMW has decided to spice things up. The German brand has revealed the 2024 BMW R 12 nineT.
Not many official details of the 2024 BMW R 12 nineT have been released but we do have some pictures of the motorcycle. It’s quite evident that it builds upon the same design and styling cues that we’ve been familiar with. However, there are certain changes and additions.
For example, the 2024 BMW R 12 nineT will have a redesigned LED headlamp and front fender. The LED taillight unit seems to be integrated into the seat giving a cleaner look. The fuel tank is a classic BMW boxer tank, with a typical bend in the lower edge and classic knee contact. The new R 12 nineT also features side covers in the area of the frame triangle in the authentic Roadster look, a reminiscence of BMW motorcycles of the 1970s.
Some of the other features of the 2024 BMW R 12 nineT include USD front forks, radially mounted Brembo four-piston Monoblock calipers with dual front disc setup, double muffler with conical endcas exhaust system, etc.
As for the engine, the 2024 BMW R 12 nineT is expected to draw power from the same air/oil-cooled boxer engine configuration that we have already seen in the R nineT, though in this case, it’d be the latest generation of that powerplant with new cylinder heads to improve combustion and efficiency to meet Euro 5 emissions regulations.
