After the M 1000 RR super sports and M 1000 R super naked motorcycles, BMW has unveiled the 3rd model of the M family – the 2024 BMW M 1000 XR sports tourer.
Since it is an M model, performance has been given the top-most priority. The 2024 BMW M 1000 XR comes with the same inline 4-cylinder engine that does duty on the M 1000 RR and M 1000 R. It produces 201 BHP at 12,750 rpm and generates 113 Nm of peak torque at 11,000 rpm. The redline of the motor has been set at 14,600 rpm.
BMW has deliberately kept the gear ratios shorter for better acceleration. The motorcycle also features winglets and the brand claims that they generate around 12 kg of downforce at 220 km/h.
Other features of the 2024 BMW M 1000 XR include blue anodized calipers, dual 320mm discs at the front, new radial master cylinder, and forged aluminum wheels.
BMW is also providing an M Performance Package to take things up a notch. You get adjustable footrests for both rider and passenger, the laptrigger, and many carbon fibre parts that help reduce the weight of the motorcycle by 3 kg.
