It has been quite a while since the last launch of a new product from Zero Motorcycles. Luckily that is going to change as the electric motorcycle manufacturer is going to reveal a new bike in February 2019.
The company has released a teaser video on its YouTube channel of the new product. This new bike is called the SR/F. Being a teaser video, it didn’t reveal many details about the bike. However, it did show a date – 25 Feb 2019 – on which the bike would be unveiled.
Zero Motorcycles already has an SR model in its product catalog. At first, it appeared that the new SR/F model could be based on this machine. However, the brand has mentioned in the description of the teaser video on YouTube, “More than a new model, SR/F is an entirely new platform. The SR/F provides an effortlessly powerful experience in the naked street bike category.”
So this clears the dust a bit. The new SR/F will be a naked street bike. People who were hoping to see a faired version of the SR would be disappointed. Perhaps, Zero would use the new SR/F platform to build that.
The teaser video of the SR/F reveals that the bike will have an LED headlight with LED DRLs around it. There is also a small windscreen above the headlight. More details of the bike will be known when Zero reveals the new SR/F in Feb. We’ll be bringing in all the latest updates on this, so stay tuned.
