Suzuki Katana has been a popular name in the history of the motorcycle industry. And now it has been revived by the Japanese company to make people go berserk once again. While we are still waiting for the new Katana to hit the dealerships, the latest news suggests that Suzuki might be working on a more brutal version of the motorcycle.
This new model is rumoured to be named as the Katana 1135R and would share parts with the current generation GSX-R1000R. This means that we would get to see high-end performance parts along with advanced electronics.
It is also being said that the riding posture of the Katana 1135R will be very aggressive with the clip-ons set very low. Also, its engine, as the name suggests, would receive a bump in its displacement to produce more power and torque figures. The current Katana is powered by a 999cc, inline 4-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that has got 152PS and 108Nm.
As of now, there is no official statement by Suzuki regarding this. In fact, we don’t even have a picture of it. The image above is not official but a representation of what the new Katana might look like. There is a very minimal probability of this bike seeing the light of the day before 2020.
