Dani Pedrosa fractured his collarbone in a crash in earlier this year which had put him out of the pre-season testing. Later, he had a successful operation and doctors suggested him a recovery time of 3 months. Ever since that happened, Pedrosa has been off the radar.

We were hoping to see Dani at the post-race test at Jerez but he wasn’t there. However, as per the latest reports, the two-time 250cc champion was seen riding a KTM at a two-day private test at Mugello, which was organised by Ducati and also attended by KTM, Aprilia and Yamaha.

Although he was there at the test event, he didn’t participate in it as KTM’s test rider. He rode a bike just to check his fitness level. Having surgery and then resting for around 3 months does take a toll on your health, physically as well as mentally. Considering the fact that Dani wasn’t testing KTM’s RC16 at the private test, we suspect he still needs some time to fully recover.

The next test event is scheduled to take place on 17th June after the race in Barcelona. We’re hoping that Pedrosa will recover by then and get back on the track.
