Triumph Rocket III-UAE-Dubai

Triumph is apparently working on a next-generation Rocket III. This is trending right now as few pictures of the upcoming new Rocket have been leaked from an international dealership meet. That’s something Triumph didn’t has in its schedule.

The pictures reveal that the new Rocket III is going to have quite a few modern parts. There is going to be a single-sided swingarm and a mono-shock at the rear. This means that the chassis has to be a new one. We also see an exposed wide rear tire with the registration plate mountings to be located on the tire hugger; similar to what we’ve seen in the Ducati Diavel.

The exhaust would be short and feature twin pipes. The front of the bike would likely be getting similar twin headlight setup like in the old Rocket III. But this time they should be full LED. The tail light would be LED as well.

Does it look like a Ducati Diavel rival?

We can see in one of the pictures a rider astride the new Rocket III. This gives us an idea about the riding stance of this motorcycle. The footpegs are in a neutral position and the handlebar is quite wide but is forward-set. This is causing the rider to lean forward a bit to reach the handlebar. The rider sear looks to have decent height and dimensions, but the pillion seat is too small.

As for the engine, it is being speculated that the upcoming Rocket III would have a 2,500cc engine. We don’t know the exact power and torque numbers, but they should definitely be higher than what the earlier model used to have. Talking about the old model, it used to have a massive 2,294cc inline 3-cylinder engine that had 146bhp, which doesn’t sound much. But that was compensated by the immense 221Nm of torque.

Triumph might be a bit upset about this leak. It must have been planning to give us all a big surprise but unfortunately, that’s spoiled now. We will be on this topic and will bring you all the latest updates that we get. As of now, there is no official information announced and we don’t have a launch date. However, people have started gossiping about it, speculating a launch in 2019.
